Thank God, completed today three days of First Aid course which I need for my Israeli riding instructor's certificate. These three days meant: Something between 4 - 5 hours hitchhiking or bus rides, with the possibility of getting stuck in the Tel Aviv area or coastal highway traffic jams and then sitting in a refrigerator - like classroom getting stuffed with information on what to do in various cases, ranging from car, household and electricity accidents to bites of venomous animals and hypothermia, and finally doing a theoretical and practical test.
However, the company was good and the cafeteria can only be recommended :) .
But after three horseless days I really long to ride again...

I will join your conversation! puh, I had an phone call yesterday, 15 minutes talk to a native speaker - horrible, I felt like an idiot and the easiest words were missing :( So I decided to write more to get used to, and where would it be better than in this thread?! :)

Got into Las Vegas yesterda. Left Denve around 4:30am, drove into Las Vegas City limits around 3pm! Made really good time!
My truck is so good on fuel, I was extremly surprised! I only spend about $120 bucks in gas top off. I drove about 300 miles on a quarter tank!
God bless american Trucks lol seriouslly! My friend drove her Toyota out and spend about $150 and 2 1/2 tanks!

My apartment is pretty big for a studio, just the kitchen and batroom are tiny. I got a blow up matress and now I am sea sick. Gonna go furniture shopping today, get groceries, a cat scratching post and other stuff I need. Like a dresser and shelving. I even went out last night and bought a 32" LCD flatscreen. Yep, couldnt go without any kind of noise.

Going to post some pics of the drive in a few!
Oh, and I was very close to a heat stroke too... I carried 3 suitcases from my truck into my apartment and I was so hot, headache etc. It was only 110F out...

I got so sick last night. Stomach bug... sucks! Couldnt even make it to my first day at work! I was so not happy when I called in to let them know. I still have to go meet the hiring manager since he flew in from Ca to meet with me... And just sitting up makes me puke. Oh well.

We had dinner at the hard rock last night, the food was so greasy so i honestly think that messed up my stomach.

Maybe you can sent something to us..it´s very "cold" here, only about 18-25 °C , I wear a jacket at the moment, 3 month ago this would be very warm, but after the last weeks I really freeze.

Oh if only!! hat would be a dream right now to feel cold...on top of everything, I tried my new cooling vest ( supposed to cool you down a little and keep you comfortable) and it does keep you cool, but I also have a sore throat now and my nose is getting stuffy.
If that is a side effect that you are catching a cold when wearing that sucker, ok then my 110 bucks are definately wasted...

Went working with Aviv and Taura this morning. A friend was supposed to join me for a ride out in the country, but since his wife gave birth last night, he couldn't come, of course. So I did some dressage work, alone. Aviv co-operated really well and was in a good mood, despite the air being of body temperature. Taura seemed to be quite affected by the weather and wasn't that keen on working. But I think both of them enjoyed the shower they got afterwards.

You could send some of the heat to us, here it's cloudy and quite cold for the season. We are in August! I want sunshine! 8o
And I am still somewhat tired. That's crazy, you go on holidays for a week and come back thinking you'd need another week to recover... But okay, I chose it.

Oh, apparently it was helpful to complain about the weather, the sun just came out while I wrote this. Strange... :D
